I'd long been frustrated by the German DVDs having no English subtitles when in early 2009 my prayers were answered by a mystery donor of seven subtitled episodes. I find it hard to believe this series was made by German TV in 2000, and released on DVD in 2011 by Bavaria Media. It was only by pure luck that I chanced upon them on Amazon a month or so ago.
